The March 22nd hail storm is being described as the most damaging natural event to hit Perth and while those affected are still getting back to normality, one insurer is handling the aftermath more effectively than most.
Low cost car insurance provider Budget Direct has lodged well over 1000 claims since the event and it’s the effective processes they have put in place that are having their customers’ hail-damaged vehicles assessed, without a lengthy waiting period.
Director of Operations for Budget Direct James Lilley said we understand that having your personal property damaged in such an event can be distressing so we do our best to make sure our customers get the best possible service.
“Our streamlined approach has been tried and tested in other states in Australia that have experienced major storm events. We treat each case individually and make personal customer appointments to eliminate lengthy waiting times.
In response to the event, Budget Direct are operating an assessment centre from Osborne Park to accommodate the influx of hail-damaged vehicles.
“The Assessing Centre is operating close to full capacity but we can assure all our customers that they’ll be attended to as soon as they arrive for their appointment.
“We believe that a test of an insurer’s after-sales service is at the time of a claim and we view this as an opportunity to win customers for life.
“Our experienced and dedicated team of motor vehicle assessors in Perth will ensure customers’ vehicles are assessed quickly.
“We’ve contracted specialist teams that fix hail-damaged vehicles promptly, and we expect our customers to be back on the road faster than most,” Mr Lilley said.
Budget Direct urges policyholders to contact 1300 139 591 for Motor claims and Home claims on 1800 069 336 to lodge a claim and make an appointment, if they haven’t done so already.
