A true measurement of capability is when insurers are scrutinised against their peers and it is this process that identifies a real winner. In its 10th year of operation Budget Direct is elated to win Money magazine’s 2010 Insurer of the Year.
According to Money magazine they enlisted the help of Canstar Cannex to review more than 19,000 financial products and services from more than 300 financial institutions to help identify the winners. The new award category considered car insurance, home and contents insurance and travel insurance.
“The systems we have in place are purpose built to streamline processes for the Australian market which are complimented by our online and over the phone capabilities. But it’s the customer satisfaction ratings that are included in this study that we are most proud of,” said Managing Director and CEO Michael Weston.
“The recent storms that hit both Melbourne and Perth created a tremendous increase in claims in both areas and it’s how we reacted to these events that prove our ability as an insurer,” Mr Weston said.
Money magazine mentions Budget Direct’s many discounts and added benefits as stand outs with different pricing levels to suit all sorts of budgets. As the winner they are labelled as a price differentiator in the insurance market with a variety of products which means they can cater to the essential needs of consumers.
We are innovators in purchasing insurance online and over the phone and by doing so believe we have changed the landscape of insurance in Australia. For 10 years we have committed ourselves to delivering the best service and focusing on our customer’s satisfaction and for that we have built a strong foundation of loyal customers.
Australia’s motoring community can only benefit from our ability to provide innovative new methods of selling insurance,” Mr Weston said.
