Budget Direct has continued its impressive winning streak, taking out the CANSTAR Five Star Outstanding Value Car Insurance award for the seventh straight year.
As well as winning the national award, Budget Direct successfully defended its title of Best Value Car Insurance provider in New South Wales, Victoria, and Tasmania. The low cost insurance provider also regained the title in Western Australia.
Budget Direct has consistently outperformed other nationwide insurers when it comes to providing value, winning the CANSTAR overall award every year since the research company began rating the sector in 2007.
Budget Direct’s winning track record speaks volumes about the consistent value provided by rewarding good drivers through lower premiums, said Ram Kangatharan, Managing Director & CEO Budget Direct.
“Simply put, our customers don’t subsidise bad drivers. They enjoy fantastic service and great innovation such as our SMS hail warning system, Hail Hero, as unique value add services,” said Mr Kangatharan.
Budget Direct’s Hail Hero invention was named by Canstar as one of the 8 top products showing innovation excellence in Australia for 2013.
“At Budget Direct we will never become complacent. We will continuously improve our products and services and take the fight up to the big insurers,” said Mr Kangatharan.
Speaking about Budget Direct’s win CANSTAR’s Research Manager Chris Groth said, that their data indicated Budget Direct sharpened the pencil on pricing to offer more competitive premiums across a number of driver profiles compared to last year.
“This is a great result and demonstrates long term commitment to provide drivers with a better deal on their car insurance.
“To win consecutive national awards means you are consistently offering well featured and competitively priced products,” said Mr Groth.
CANSTAR, an independent research company, compared 90 features from 38 comprehensive car insurance policies and obtained over 28,000 quotes to determine which company’s offered outstanding value car insurance.
