The verdict is in; Canstar votes Hail Hero a winning innovation

Budget Direct’s Hail Hero invention has taken out yet another major award, being named by Canstar as one of the 8 top products showing innovation excellence in Australia.

Hail Hero took two years of research and development to create. The unique service offers customers a text message warning, which alerts them to impending damaging hail, giving them at least 10 minutes notice to move their vehicles.

Paul Malt, Chief Information Officer at Budget Direct says, “Our goal was to give our customers enough time to move their car when damaging hail is approaching.”

This is the third big award for Hail Hero, having already been named Australian Business Awards Product Innovation of 2012, and taking out a gong at the 2012 Australian Insurance Industry Awards.
