Lake Burley Griffin is large, lovely and manmade. Walkers and cyclist circle it regularly, and you can row, sail, kayak, fish or try stand-up paddle-boarding out on the water. It boasts 40 kilometres of shoreline and has lots of attractive picnic spots which get a good workout when the weather turns warm.
