- Budget Direct becomes first Car, Home & Contents insurance provider in Australia to offer PayPal as a payment option
- Customers have 15 chances to win up to $1000 cash back – when they buy a policy using PayPal in October/November
Budget Direct has become the first insurance provider in Australia to offer PayPal as a payment option for customers buying Car, Home & Contents policies online.
The low cost insurance provider has seen a large increase in the number of customers shopping online for insurance and providing PayPal as a payment option makes that process even easier, says Jonathan Kerr, Director Marketing & Digital, Budget Direct.
“Millions of Australians prefer to make their online purchases via PayPal, so we partnered with PayPal to make sure Budget Direct was the first Australian car and Home & Contents insurer to offer that option.” says Mr Kerr.
To celebrate the launch of the PayPal option Budget Direct is offering its new and existing customers, 15 chances to win the value of their policy back (up to $1000)* when they buy a new Car, Home, Contents, combined Home & Contents or Travel policy online through PayPal in October and November.
“Essentially we’re offering customers the chance to win free insurance for a year, simply by using PayPal to buy a new policy with Budget Direct,” says Mr Kerr.
The Budget Direct billing solution is the latest example of how PayPal is working with industry leaders to simplify the payment process to just a few easy clicks, says Simon Banks, Director of Enterprise, PayPal Australia.
“We are focussed on providing our 5.5 million customers with the ability to pay whenever and wherever they want to – be it from their desktop computer, tablet or smartphone,” says Mr Banks.
