Multi-million dollar Contact Centre opening on the Sunshine Coast tomorrow

Australian Insurance Holdings Pty Ltd is one of the Sunshine Coast's largest employers, and will be officially launching its new $8 million Contact Centre tomorrow (Tuesday September 18) at Kawana Waters Business Village.

Caloundra City Mayor Cr Don Aldous will officially open the new facility together with Australian Insurance Holdings Managing Director & CEO Michael Weston in front of more than 30 of the region's business leaders, including Stocklands Senior Development Manager Paul McDonald, Pellicano Joint Managing Director Nunzio Pellicano, Dimond Architects' Principal Ian Dimond, and Caloundra Divisional Councillor Gordon Wallace.

Mr Weston said the Contact Centre will house 280 staff, which provides for locals who wish to build a successful career without having to leave the Sunshine Coast.

"This is an excellent opportunity for local residents to work for a successful national insurer and undertake training programs which exceed industry standards," he said.

With unemployment hitting an all time low, Australian Insurance Holdings has gone that extra mile to attract and retain staff.

Mr Weston said the 2,200 square metre facility boasts air hockey tables, fancy leather booths in a café style breakout room, and wide screen televisions for staff to enjoy.

"We believe it's vital to have a happy and positive work environment for all our employees," he said.

Caloundra City Mayor Cr Don Aldous, commended the efforts of Australian Insurance Holdings for their continued efforts to deliver long-term employment security for Sunshine Coast residents.

The new facility will incorporate Australian Insurance Holdings intensive expansion program of its signature car and home & contents insurance brand, Budget Direct, as well as the service capabilities of the company's growing Affinities portfolio.
