How do I make a claim under my travel insurance policy?

In the event of a medical emergency contact Allianz Global Assistance using the contact number provided on your certificate of insurance. Allianz Global Assistance can be contacted, free of charge from anywhere around the world, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. If you are hospitalised or you are receiving outpatient treatment exceeding AUD$2,000 you MUST contact Allianz Global Assistance as soon as possible.

Remember to always take reasonable precautions to safeguard your luggage and personal effects and immediately report any claims to the relevant authorities such as the police, airlines and hotels. You may be required to provide evidence of ownership of property as well as any expenses incurred. Where you have incurred medical costs on your journey it is important to keep copies of all receipts and details of any treatment received. Remember to submit your claim to Allianz Global Assistance within 30 days of returning to Australia.
