Budget Direct Sweeps Cannex Best Value / 5 Star Car Insurance Ratings
In their latest ratings (November 2008), Cannex awarded our Standard Comprehensive Car Insurance policy 14 out of their 15 Best Value Car Insurance categories including Best Value Nationally, Best Value in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia plus Best Value, 5 Star Profile Ratings for Family Drivers, Mature Drivers, Executive Car Drivers, Drivers 30-59, Male Drivers 25-29, Female Drivers 25-29 and Young Male Driver under 25 years old. The independent awards are a comparison of the 27 leading car insurance providers in Australia comparing 38 different car insurance products, and based on a combination of a detailed policy feature comparison and over 15,000 telephone and internet quotes. A national five star rating is the highest rating awarded to national car insurance providers by CANNEX, November 2008.
Australian Banking & Finance Magazine Telstra Insurance Awards 2008
In the sixth year of the awards the Australian Banking & Finance Magazine established a panel of leading insurance experts to assist with selecting the worthy winners. They included former Suncorp insurance boss Diana Eilert, senior Moody’s analyst Wing Chew and top UBS analyst Ralph Butterworth. Budget Direct won the 2008 award for Best Niche Insurer because of our excellence and focus on Car and Home & Contents Insurance.
2007 Australian Business Awards: Best Value
The 2007 Australian Business Award recipients were chosen from 140 short listed entries who were selected from 800 entries overall. Budget Direct entered the Best Value category and our Standard Comprehensive Car Insurance won the Best Value award in the General Insurance section. According to the judges – 'The achievements of Budget Direct in providing value comprehensive car insurance without compromising on quality or service has led to success in achieving profitability and consistent growth in a competitive field.' Winner Best Car Insurance Award 2007
As part of Money magazine's sixth annual Best of the Best awards the publication crowned Budget Direct's Standard Comprehensive Car Insurance as the 2007 Best Car Insurance category winner. According to the magazine – "The Winners were scored on a combination of features and price....Money gave Cannex the profile of our average reader and chose two suburbs – Parramatta in NSW and Glen Waverly in Victoria – where there's a concentration of readers. Cannex then got comprehensive quotes for two different cars – a 2004 Mazda 6 Sedan and a 2004 Holden Commodore Acclaim Sedan – for each of the two suburbs." Golden Award of Montreux 2007
Budget Direct's 'Smart Choice Challenge', a highly engaging online competition promoting our Car Insurance, was presented with a 'Finalist' award in the multimedia/web/CD-ROM – Financial Services category at these prestigious awards. The awards feature an international jury from 19 countries evaluated entries in 8 main categories: TV/Cinema ads, print ads, poster, direct mail, interactive media, radio, best use of media, events.
