Agreed Value or Market Value

You can choose to insure your car for its current market value or for an alternative amount agreed on by both of us.

Maximum No Claims Discount Protection

Maximum No Claims Discount Protection entitles you to make 1 claim during your current insurance period or 2 claims in a three-year period without affecting your Maximum No Claim Discount (Rating 1)

Windscreen Excess Reduction

Choose to reduce your windscreen excess by varying your premium

Restricted Driver Discounts

You can choose to restrict the age of the drivers of your vehicle to receive a lower insurance premium. Budget Direct lets you restrict the youngest drivers age to 21, 25, 30 or 40 years of age, once again helping you tailor your motor vehicle insurance policy to your specific circumstances to help you reduce your premium.

Variable Excess to Reduce Premium

With Budget Direct's variable excess function you can vary the amount of excess you pay in the event of a car insurance claim to reduce your insurance premium. It's completely up to you. At the end of an online quote use the Policy Excess drop down box to vary your excess level to reduce or raise your premium. If you're doing a phone quote ask the Budget Direct representative about the variable excess options.

Roadside Assistance

Our 24/7 Roadside Assistance service provided by Ultra Tune Roadside Assistance* ensures that you won't be left stranded in the event of a breakdown. For just over $1 a week, you will have access to an extensive national roadside assistance fleet offering:

• Minor mechanical roadside repairs
• Breakdown towing
• Emergency key service
• Flat battery assistance
• Emergency fuel supply
• Tyre change assistance
• Unlimited technical advice hotline
• Up to four roadside call-outs per year
• No joining fee

Accident Hire Car Benefit

Our Accident Hire Car Benefit option is offered to help reduce the inconvenience suffered by our comprehensive policy holders when thier vehicle is off the road undergoing repairs following an accident.

With the services of our hire car partner Europcar, our clients purchasing the benefit can have a compact class vehicle (such as Nissan Tiida) for up to 14 days whilst their own car is being repaired. This optional benefit is keenly priced and can be added to your policy when you purchase the policy online or over the phone.

The Hire Car Benefit includes the following as standard:

• Unlimited kilometers in all locations
• 24 hour roadside assistance
• Damage liability protection with an excess of $330 (GST inclusive)
• Underage surcharge (allowing drivers from 18 years old)
• Multiple driver surcharge
• Provision of child seats
